At Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique Gourmet we apply measures to protect the planet in practically all areas of the hotel, even before you enjoy your holiday (with actions such as encouraging online check-in to save paper). As a result of this work, we have achieved the important international Bioscore environmental certification, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability in areas such as emissions, catering, waste, energy and water. Some of our most important actions already implemented are:

-Implementation of LED lighting and energy and water saving measures such as controlling the use of air conditioners or the cleaning of towels and sheets.

-Reduction of the carbon footprint by opting for local products and food, reduction of paper (or replacement with sustainable alternatives) and the incorporation of an electric vehicle to our fleet.

At Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique we are committed to exclusive attention to the visitor, but we also care about promoting efficient tourism under the philosophy of 'Making a magic place', in line with a more protected and secure future in the long term, respecting the natural resources of our planet.

This project, the result of our compromise with the environment and to reduce our environmental footprint, is born with the will to develop our model of efficient, sustainable and committed hotel management.

For us, issues such as reducing the use of non-renewable resources and energy, recycling, incorporating eco-design criteria into our processes and raising awareness among the public and our employees are some of our priorities.

LESS PLASTICS and LESS WASTE

More sustainability

The reduction of plastic materials and the generation of less waste are essential objectives to help the planet and mitigate the environmental footprint.

Therefore, from Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique we have developed a series of actions aimed at reducing and eliminating plastic materials that end up in the oceans, affecting the food chain and whose manufacture contributes to generate CO2 and increase greenhouse gases. Among these proposals, the following stand out:

- Single-use plastics: We are eliminating single-use plastics in materials such as straws and promoting the use of biodegradable toiletries.

- Recycle your waste: We have bins of different colours to recycle your waste in the appropriate place. We also have agreements with different companies to recycle cardboard, paper and other waste.

Reducing our water footprint

Ensuring responsible use of water resources at the hotel is one of our objectives in our sustainability plan. This not only helps our environment, it helps to protect our wild plants and animals as well as ensuring the correct production of food.

In the accommodation we have implemented actions such as:

- Responsible cleaning of products: We have decided to leave daily washing of utensils such as sheets and towels except for the client who asks us to do so, contributing to the saving of water and the reduction of cleaning products.

- Every drop counts: Toilets are fitted with buttons and systems to avoid wasting water. We are also implementing measures in our accommodation to reduce waste in elements such as taps and showers.

A single sheet of paper may seem insignificant, however, the use of thousands of sheets a day can be very harmful to the planet. One of our aims is to reduce the use of paper as much as possible with actions such as:

- Online check in: You can check in online or ask our staff to send you documents by email.

- Recycling: We have agreements with different companies and we recycle all the paper and cardboard we use.

- Paper 0: We aim to eradicate the use of paper, replacing it with telematic means and support and sustainable alternatives such as ecological paper with sustainability certification.

SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

Moderate and responsible use to minimise its impact.

Guaranteeing access to affordable, safe and sustainable energy for all our guests is a priority objective at Magic.

Therefore, making the correct and moderate use of available energy sources have become key lines of action.

Some of our actions to minimise energy impact are:

-Energy efficient lights: All our lights are energy efficient and electrically efficient. We minimise energy impact throughout our hotel.

- Less Co2: We reduce fuel consumption and emissions in services such as valet-parking by incorporating an electric vehicle into our fleet.

- Natural light: We have opted for the relocation and relocation of some of our spaces within the hotel.

- Future self-supply: We are working on the installation of solar panels in our accommodation. The aim is to generate a 0 impact on the carbon footprint.

-Programmable air conditioning: We use air conditioning and heating in different time slots in order to reduce daily energy use.
